Business models
How do I get from an inspiring business model to a feasible businessplan for my web- project?
Everybody’s gotta have a business model nowadays. A way to get most value out of the plans you have to transform society. Or at least a small part. Elaborating on your business model, it somehow strucks you that it isn’t that easy to work this out in a realistic, feasible and effective businessplan. In this clinic session pioneers who thought about their business model and are now struggeling with the next steps will exchange experiences and will be crunched by much respected Digital Pioneers Acadamy coach Machiel Emmering who will start the session with a short crash course.
Moderator: Machiel Emmering (independent consultant & coach DP Academy)

Community building & PR
How to sprout your project? A clinic about spreading an idea and mobilizing committed followers
You have a fresh and innovative idea for a new web-project. All you wish for is to tell the world about the importance and fun of your idea, besides that… you are consciously aware you will need others to actually make things happen. You know you will need to activate people and move them towards the right sense of commitment. Question is: how? And in some cases even more important: how to maintain this contact? Bart Lacroix will give an introduction based on his experience as the co-founder of the 1% Club: ‘a marketplace that connects development projects with people, money and knowledge around the world’. The clinic gives the opportunity to share tips and tricks for the right communication strategy.
Moderator: Bart Lacroix (1% Club)

Creative Commons & copyright
How to protect or set my creative works and ideas free to share and remix?
Every day, artists, entrepreneurs and consumers are finding new ways to engage with each other in the virtual world. Traditional copyright rules are out; new business models are in. This ongoing search brings all of us to some challenges in the usage and protection of text, image, music and ideas. In this clinic you can find out how a Creative Commons license offers your project a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permissions for your creative work. From all rights to some rights reserved. Creative Commons will be introduced by Paul Keller, the national project lead at Creative Commons Netherlands. He will be accompanied by Mattijs Franken, law expert in technology, media and communications for clinic.
Moderator: Paul Keller (Knowledgeland) & Mattijs Franken (clinic)

Crowdsourcing
How to use crowd sourcing and the power of the crowds successfully in my web-project?
Outsourcing tasks to a large group of people or community has never been easier on the web. Moreover, on the web individuals tend to be more open to participate. For example the public may be invited to develop a new technology, carry out a design task, refine or carry out the steps of an algorithm or analyze large amounts of data. What are the do’s and don’t for crowd sourcing? Which tools work best? With inspiring introduction by Robert Kooij about the brand new crowd sourcing tool designed for Openkamer.tv.
Moderator: Robert Kooij (Open Kamer)

You have a great innovative idea to make a change in society. But now you want to make a first baby steps to see if you idea will work. Because this takes time and effort, you are looking for some funding to get you started as soon as possible. Where to begin? Are there any subsidy-experts who can help? How far should you go in adjusting your original plans in getting that grant? In this clinic pioneers exchange their struggles getting their first fundings, explore possibilities and get started with either crowdfund platform voordekunst, or Fundbreak. With inspiring introduction by Roy Cremers (voordekunst) or Alan Crabbe (Fundbreak).

Mobile technology
How can mobile technology facilitate social innovation in new and unexpected ways?

A lot of experiment is going on in building new types of services citizens can use at their benefit. What is state of the art technology at the moment? What are the benefits of developing for the iPhone or Android? What kind of services can we think of for stimulating social innovation? In this clinic session pioneers will exchange experiences on mobile technology and explore new applications. With inspiring introduction by James Burke & Juha van ‘t Zelfde (VURB) about the Urbanode project, which enable a set of environmental services to be discoverable by mobile devices, and controlled by citizens through applications on their smartphones.
